Scott Greenslade

After completing my degree at Cardiff University in 2006 I returned to my home town of Poole where I have been practicing ever since. I have worked at Thistledene Dental Practice for the last 15 Years, and became a practice partner in 2016. I enjoy all aspects of modern general dentistry, but particularly enjoy performing teeth whitening and restorative work. I always like to provide high quality care and treatment for my patients. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family or being out on the golf course with my friends.
Sam Wheeler
Associate Dentist / GDC number: 309344 / BDS Cardiff 2023
Originally from Corfe Mullen, I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Cardiff University and returned to the local area, where I have practised ever since. I provide caring, patient-centred dentistry with a focus on tooth preservation, prioritising composite restorations to preserve tooth structure. I am also fully experienced in providing high-quality crown and bridgework where needed. At the practice, I also offer clear aligner orthodontic treatment to help my patients subtly and comfortably achieve their ideal smile. Outside the clinic, I enjoy staying active, often playing golf with my fiancée, Vicky.
Ian Erbetta
Associate Dentist / GDC Number: 60463 / BDS Bristol 1985
After graduating from Bristol university in 1985 I joined the practice as an associate in 1986 and became a partner in 1990. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, but especially restorative and cosmetic treatments, whilst promoting a preventative approach. I am caring and gentle in my treatment and I’m passionate about providing the best possible care. Away from dentistry I enjoy relaxing with my friends and family and always find time for making new pallet structures for my pet goats to play on!

After moving from my home in Germany in 2004 I joined Thistledene Dental Practice originally as a dental nurse. I later became the practice manager after completing an 18 month management course in May 2014. I still enjoy working as a dental nurse when needed, but my passion is practice management. I really enjoy the day to day challenges the role brings and keeping the surgery up to date with the latest guidelines and legislation. Away from the practice I like going for walks or cycling, and enjoy spending time with my friends and husband.

After leaving school I completed a dental nursing course at Weymouth College and gained my national certificate in dental nursing. I joined Thistledene Dental Practice in 1996 as a full time member of staff and continued to work part time whilst raising my two sons. In the last few years I have returned to full time and primarily work as Ian’s dental assistant. I enjoy the variety the role brings and get great job satisfaction from it. Outside of work family life keeps me busy and I have a keen interest in all things paranormal.

I’m Shannen and I have been a dental nurse at the practice for the last 4 years after previously working as a chef for 10 years. I realised one day standing over the hot plate that I needed a new challenge and immediately found myself drawn to dentistry. I decided to apply for the dental assistant trainee role with Scott and was offered the job. Since then I have never looked back.

I began my career as a dental nurse before earning a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from the University of Portsmouth in 2013. I love building positive, lasting relationships with patients and am keen to continue growing as a clinician. I have volunteered both in the UK and abroad, most recently with Dentaid in Cambodia, treating vulnerable patients. At home, my two children keep me busy outdoors, and I actively support local schools and scouting groups.

Dental Receptionist
After an early career in the banking industry I was fortunate to secure a receptionist role at Thistledene Dental Practice. I am now one of the longest serving members of staff, having been here for more than 25 years. I was born in London and now live in the Wimborne area with my husband of 46 years. I have many interests and hobbies and really enjoy being the baker of delicious flapjacks and treats for all my colleagues.

Dental Receptionist
I’m Becky and I have been working at the practice as a receptionist for just over a year. I spent the previous 12 years of my career working at a private hospital in housekeeping so this is an enjoyable new challenge for me. In 2021 I completed a business administration qualification and I really like the new skills that it has taught me. Outside of work I have two grown up children who are my world, and in my spare time I enjoy drawing, painting and getting creative.
